Terms of Service

Effective May 25, 2026

Orbit is operated by Mavrick Enterprises LLC, a New York limited liability company. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use Orbit.

Who can use Orbit

You must be at least 16 years old to use Orbit. By signing up, you confirm you meet this age requirement. You also agree you have the legal authority to enter this agreement.

Some portals (community spaces inside Orbit) are invite-only and may have additional rules set by their hosts. You agree to follow those.

Your account

You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password private. If you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission, email mavrickllcnyc@gmail.com immediately.

You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up — real name (or the name you go by professionally), real photo, real profile details. Orbit is a network of real people; impersonation undermines the trust that makes it work.

What you can post

You own what you post. By posting on Orbit, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content to the people you’ve made it visible to — that’s how a social product works. We don’t use your content for anything else (no training AI models on it, no selling it, no licensing it to third parties).

You retain copyright. If you delete a post or your account, your license to us ends and we remove the content from the service.

What you can't do

Don’t use Orbit to:

  • Harass, threaten, dox, or otherwise target other users — including the people who alley-ooped you in or whose portals you’re part of.
  • Post sexually explicit content, content involving minors in any sexualized context, gratuitous violence, or content promoting self-harm.
  • Post hate speech or content attacking people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
  • Sell access to your account, run engagement schemes, scrape data programmatically, or use Orbit for spam or commercial solicitation outside its intended use.
  • Impersonate someone else, create fake accounts, or operate multiple accounts to evade enforcement.
  • Post content you don’t have the right to share — including someone else’s copyrighted work or private information.
  • Try to compromise the security of the service — penetration testing without authorization, reverse engineering, exploiting bugs in bad faith.
  • Use Orbit for anything illegal in the jurisdiction you’re using it from.

Reporting + enforcement

If you see something that violates these terms, use the report flow in-app (tap the … menu on a profile or post) or email us. We review reports within 24 hours during the closed beta. We may remove content, restrict accounts, or terminate access — temporarily or permanently — based on what we find.

We’ll act faster on imminent-harm reports (threats of violence, doxxing, child safety issues).

Ending the relationship

You can delete your account any time: Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. That wipes your profile, posts, connections, messages, and reactions.

We can terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms or if your use of Orbit creates significant risk for us or other users. We’ll usually warn you first, except in cases of immediate harm.

The service, as-is

Orbit is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it running, but we make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mavrick Enterprises LLC isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to Orbit is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose — which, given Orbit is currently free to use, will typically be zero.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update these terms when the product or the law changes. Material changes get notified in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes that can’t be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to that venue.
